Effect of different screen widths on the submerged hydraulic jump characteristics

چکیده
Hydraulic jump used to dissipate excessive kinetic energy in natural water ways since the down of time. Screens fixed stilling basin control hydraulic location, depth and length from four decades ago. In this study, screens with a constant height different widths same screen relative area (Ar=0.285) were located behind gate at distance 10 cm tested under wide variance conditions submerged jump. are select best widths. The width 1.00 had maximum loss shortest minimum tail theoretical deduced equation higher asymmetric scatter experimental results around line equality, however good agreement was present when correction factor used.
